  • What information do we collect?

    We collect contact and/or billing information from you when you request services, or fill out a contact request form.

    When requesting services on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, telephone number, or credit card or other billing information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

    We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.

    Your billing information is not held by us. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to our payment gateway providers (Pay Pal, et al.), whose privacy and security policies apply. Our payment gateway providers are further required by law to keep the information confidential. During and after a transaction, any and all private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) provided by you to facilitate the transaction will not be stored on our servers.

    Your contact information, being the address and other particulars of your dealership, is stored only in the electronic licensing instrument issued to you, and is stored encrypted within that instrument using a proprietary algorithm.

  • Do we use cookies?

    Cookies are small files that a website or its service provider transfers to your browsing device, if you allow, which enable the site to recognize your browser and remember certain information for future use.

    The VIMAboard service employs a "session cookie", which is a type of cookie that is neither stored on your computer nor identifying in any way. This cookie is usable only by the service during the visit to the Website. Should the acceptance of "session cookies" be disabled in your browser, the service will not be operative.

    Your communication with the VIMAboard Website does not depend on the distribution of "persistent cookies", which are a type of cookie that is stored on your computer so that they are available to the service on your next visit to the Website. You may disable the acceptance of persistent cookies in your browser and the service and your ability to use it will be unaffected. However, should the acceptance of persistent cookies be permitted by your browser, the login page of the service will offer you the opportunity to use this capability in a "Remember Me?" function that allows you to return to the Website without need to log in. The persistent cookie stored on your computer to support this functionality will expire and be removed automatically from your computer's disk thirty days after the most recent use of the service. The contents of this cookie are small (less than 20 characters in length), encrypted, contain neither any identifying information nor any of the credentials used by you, and are accessible to, and made available to, no party other than VIMAboard. The encryption mechanism employed further ensures that the cookie is rendered unusable if copied to another computer for its use there.

    Our payment gateway service providers may or may not use cookies during the performance of a financial transaction initiated on our site. The privacy policy of these providers apply during their use.

  • Do we disclose your information to outside parties?

    We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include the transmission of data to trusted third parties that assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

    We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of others.

  • Can this privacy policy be changed?

    Yes. If we change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page, and update the Privacy Policy modification date below.
